Melanie Pelosi

Director, PRT Product, U.S. Funded Pension Risk Transfer

Melanie Pelosi is the director of cash and mid-market transactions for Prudential’s U.S. Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) business. She is charged with driving growth in the cash and mid-markets by providing innovative solutions to Prudential’s clients and enabling them to de-risk their pension plans.

Melanie joined Prudential in 1993 and has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, primarily working in a pricing role supporting both new and inforce business for U.S. funded PRT transactions, terminal funding contracts, structured settlements and state lottery games. Melanie was a key member of the pricing team on the industry-changing $25 billion General Motors transaction in 2012. She recently transitioned from a business and transaction management role where she focused on developing transaction management infrastructure, driving strategic initiatives and championing continuous improvement across the business. She was a principal member of the core team on the $2.5 billion buy-out transaction with WestRock Corporation in 2016 that helped Prudential win its sixth straight CIO Industry Innovation Award.

Melanie holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Elmira College.
